Social bookmarking when I first started out was all the rage. However, now it seems to have declined to the point of not even making an impact on my sites. The only thing I have found is StumbleUpon tends to send me some direct visitors, but not any impact from the search engines. What is your experience with this?

How much does SENuke cost? I know when I first started out it was invite only and then it was highly cost prohibitive for me. Did they bring the cost down some?

I have used this some before for some of the articles that I found interesting on the Internet, but have never tried it on my own stuff. Now that you have mentioned this I will try to make the changes to some of my stuff to get better at it.

I just stumbled one of the items that I have on my site and wow is all I have to say about the traffic increase. I did not think it was possible to get a huge uptick right away. Overnight the site sent me close to thirty new views!

I use social bookmarking. Social bookmarking is a powerful tool in promoting a website with the added benefit of being a very Google friendly way of gaining back links. It increased traffic, increased visibility and branding, promote individual pages of your site, and many more.

Social bookmarking is helpful to get a good quality of backlink. These backlink increases the website visitor. It also helpful to get rank over search engine website. It indexed your page over search engine website. My favorite social bookmarking site are Stumbleupon, Digg, Delicious and many more. These help me a lot.

I think its about balance, I certainly agree with you about the decline. I think that in my view its "over-used", almost every website has some kind of "social bookmark" button/widget/bar plastered all over the place!

Not only is this sometimes distracting but also feels like "spam" sometimes. For example I could be browsing a website about socks and it will have social bookmarks! why would I want to rave about socks on facebook? :)

Saying all this I think they are still useful as other posters have mentioned. However try and use them sparingly.
